Q: I’m working with a Spot Color Swatch to Fill an object, so in the Color panel the Tint Ramp of the Swatch is displayed. Is there a quick way to switch to the CMYK Spectrum without having to go under the Options menu of the panel to reselect CMYK each and every time I use the Spot Color Swatch?
A : Yes, but only if you know the secret key. Hold down your Shift key and double-click on the Tint Ramp to switch to the CMYK Spectrum instantly. With a single Shift+click on the Ramp, the Color panel will cycle through RGB, Lab, and CMYK Spectrums with each click and then back to Spot Color’s Tint Ramp.
